Can moflowcli or other method be used to scan the pumping speed parameter?

I want to model a UHV chamber system and find the best condition for the vacuum pumps, especially the right pumping speed, so I want to be able to scan the pumping speed parameter. I understand molflowCLI can scan parameters like outgassing rate, but I do not see an option for scanning pumping speed. I also check the xml file extracted from the zip file, but do not see a field for pumping speed for a facet, either. So I am thinking this pumping speed parameter may be an “on-the-fly” one that will take effect during the montecarlo simulation. Before I dived (and got confused by) into the detailed algorithm of molflow, I want to ask a quick question here for suggestions and comments. Many thanks!

Sam

In the “algorithm behind Molflow” document that you mention, in section 2.5 there is the formula to convert between pumping speed and sticking factor:

You can extract the area, sticking factor, temperature and gas mass via Python and calculate the pumping speed that way for a facet.
