Mean flight time of molecule in a specific part of model

Hello Molflow’s Creator,

I encountered a problem while performing simulations. My model is composed of circular pipes with varying diameters. I have learned that I can eatimate the mean flight time of particles from generation to adsorption by using “MPP/100/sqrt(2RT/M)”. However, what should I do if I only want to know the mean flight time within a single pipe rather than the entire system?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Jessica,

In that case, you have to restrict particles to fly in the pipe only. You can create a temporary facet to desorb at the pipe entrance, and a temporary sticking facet at the end.
