Menus drop-down unresponsive for 1-2 minutes on Molflow app startup

I noticed the when I startup the latest version of Molflow (Mac Arm 2.10.1) the drop down menus are unresponsive for 1-2 minutes. Don’t get the same behavior with version 2.10.0 FYI I have about 40 active windows open though most are minimized on my dock.

Thank you for reporting this! Is it all the menus, or only some of them?

Are you sure the Molflow app is in focus? On the macOS Tahoe sometimes Molflow starts up unfocused, missing many clicks. The solution is to click on an other window then on Molflow again. If the top-left window buttons are colorful, then it’s properly in focus:

Let me know if you can reproduce this while Molflow is in focus. The startup behavior is macOS specific for apps launched from the terminal, outside of our control, and I suspect something changed with either macOS or the SDL3 framework we migrated to.

You are correct it’s not in focus on startup. No matter where I click on the window it will not come into focus. I have to click on another window first to get focus back like you suggested. It’s weird, when the window is out of focus some of the buttons on the right side work, although with a slow response, and the top menu buttons click but with no drop downs.
