I defined the outgassing surfaces and sticking surface. When I ran simulation, the Des only ran 15 seconds and then drop to 0.0des/s. The green dots(hits) only show up 10 seconds and disappear. I tried different pumping rate and got same results. Please help.
The problem you are facing happens from time to time when complex STL files from a CAD model are imported and then collapsed.
The ray tracing stops because the molecular trajectories are trapped within two or more (normally at least 4) facets which are making a closed “pocket” (leak tight!)… in fact to find where the molecules are it is sufficient to click with the mouse on the “hits” column. This makes a sorting of the columns by hits, either increasing order or decreasing, after a while you’ll see that a couple of facets’ hits will grow constantly while all the others will not change… if you click with the mouse on the facet on the list the facet will be highlighted in red (as usual) and you’ll be able to zoom in and actually see the tiny trajectory steps within the trapping volume.
