Hello. I was wondering if there is a way to model the synchrotron radiation generated from off axis electrons when they pass through the field return lines at the ends of a strong (12T) solenoid.
Hello, and welcome to this forum: At this time SYNRAD+ doesn’t have an option for simulating such fields. There is a plan to implement it, either using an analytical formula (as per recent formulation by H. Burkhardt at FCC-ee MDI meetings) or as a 2D field,map but right now we lack the time and resources to implement it. In fact, if you could provide us with a sample description of the field you are mentioning that would help us tailor the future addition of this magnetic field type.
